Emergency Assistance Facilities (EAF) is the emergency medical assistance team appointed by our Underwriters, Travel Insurance Facilities.
EAF is a doctor managed emergency medical service, which is available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The EAF team pride themselves on clinical excellence, and they comprise of specialists in aviation medicine and medical emergencies worldwide.
You can contact EAF in an emergency by calling +44 (0) 203 824 0707. For non-emergencies you can email EAF at firstname.lastname@example.org. If you require an ambulance, the international emergency services number is 112. Please add these numbers to your phone so you can access them immediately in an emergency.
If you need any medical treatment during your holiday (unless in extreme situations), you should call EAF before you go to the hospital, so they can advise you on the best place to get treatment.
When you contact EAF you will speak to a member of the operations team, who will take some initial details and assign you a case number (please have your policy number to hand if possible). If your hospital or clinic requires confirmation of your cover, the operations team should be able to provide this.
Your case may then be referred onto one of their doctors, who will be able to liaise with you and your hospital to ensure you receive the correct treatment and advise you on getting home (repatriation) if necessary.
